Got Questions?
Everything you need to know about Antics.
Is this babysitting?
No! Antics is a tailored activity program offering unique, interest-led experiences for neurodivergent youth. Activities are designed to be meaningful, engaging, and fun, not just supervision.
Is this therapy?
No. Antics is all about fun. While our activities can naturally support skills like confidence and self-expression, we do not provide therapy or behavioural intervention. Our goal: give children space to explore, create, and enjoy themselves.
What ages do you work with?
Typically ages 4–18, but we are flexible depending on needs and interests. If you have questions about accessibility or age-appropriate activities, feel free to contact us, we’d love to hear from you!
What if my child doesn’t want to participate?
Participation is always encouraged, but never required. Children are welcome to observe, engage partially, or take time to feel comfortable. Our play guides are patient and nonjudgmental, every session meets your child where they are.
Do parents need to be present?
Yes, a parent or caregiver must remain home during sessions, though direct supervision isn’t always necessary. Parents are welcome to join in, but our trained play guides lead the session.
What kind of activities will my child do?
Arts & crafts, adapted sports and movement, culinary creations, and cultural experiences is where the fun starts, but we want to know what excites your child, and we’ll build something around that.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes, depending on the activity and your child’s attention and energy levels. We always prioritise pacing and breaks so children stay engaged without feeling rushed.
Need a change of scenery?
We’re always up for a park day, playground visit, or meeting at your child’s favourite community spot.
What if my child has sensory sensitivities?
We tailor all activities to your child’s sensory needs, noise, textures, lighting, and pace. Our play guides are trained to notice signs of overstimulation and adjust in real time.
Can siblings join?
Siblings are welcome in certain situations depending on the activity and space. We recommend contacting us ahead of time so we can ensure the session remains safe and focused on your child’s needs.
Are your services expensive?
Your first 45-minute discovery session is completely free. After that, sessions are $57 for one hour, $85 for an hour and a half, and $110 for two hours, flexible, interest-led, and designed entirely around your child.
